ClearDay — Privacy policy
This privacy policy explains how the ClearDay iOS app ("ClearDay", "we", "our") handles your information. ClearDay is published by Balzer Consulting, Switzerland.
The short version
ClearDay does not collect personal data. We do not run analytics, we do not maintain user accounts, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties.
Data stored on your device
Your tasks, schedules, settings, and any other content you create in ClearDay are stored locally on your iPhone. If you have iCloud enabled for ClearDay in iOS settings, that content is synchronised across your own Apple devices through Apple iCloud, end-to-end under your Apple ID. We do not have access to it.
Data we do not collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, or location.
- We do not run third-party analytics SDKs.
- We do not use advertising identifiers or tracking SDKs.
Subscriptions
If you purchase a ClearDay subscription, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We receive aggregated, anonymised purchase reports from Apple — we do not receive your name, email, payment method, or any directly identifying information. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
Voice input
When you use voice capture, recognition is performed by Apple's on-device or server-side speech recognition (per your iOS settings). The resulting text is stored as a task in ClearDay; the audio is not retained by us.
Crash and diagnostic data
If you have opted in to share diagnostics with developers in your iOS settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers), Apple may send us anonymised crash reports. These help us fix bugs and contain no personal information.
Children
ClearDay is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date at the top and announce the change in the app or on this page.
